When used in conjunction with bar clamps, Larry's Clamp is the fastest and easiest way to flatten boards when making glued up panels. Five hundred pounds of pressure... Larry's Clamp uses compressed air to force boards into alignment. This will not only cut your clamping time in half, it also provides a much flatter surface. A flatter surface means fewer trips through the planer. That means it could also save you money on planer knives. There is a LD1800-LC which is the 18" model but can glue longer lengths if the last glue joint is captured between pressure bar and anvil. Larrys Clamp also has the LD2200-LC and the LD3600-LC. The LD2200-LC is the same setup as the LD1800-LC but is 22" instead of 18". The LD3600-LC is a 36" clamp that has a support bar on both ends. This must be done to ensure a straight flush clamp. These pneumatic clamps would be a great addition to any woodworkers shop. All three of the clamps run at 100 psi. Check out the demonstration video. |
